In 2007, Parminder Vir OBE was the mentoring producer for the first Shasha Grant with Graham Taylor of Endeavour Entertainment and the writer/director Soman Chainani USA, was the joint winner for his project Love Marriage.
In 2008 she mentored writer /director Hicham Ayouch from Morocco, who won the Shasha Grant prize for his project Samba Do Maazouz. This film has been optioned by Fox International for further development and production.
In 2009 she mentored writer/director Annemarie Jacir from Palestine, who was awarded special prize to present her film When I saw You, at the Australian Film Market to raise finance.
The Circle Conference is the initiative of ADACH, which offers an international screenwriting competition for the Shasha Grant, which includes a $100,000 award, designed to help identify, develop and launch the careers of outstanding regional filmmakers.
